The Cruising Club of America and Bermuda Race Foundation will offer the International Offshore Safety at Sea with Hands-On Training course throughout the year. Successful completion of this course yields a World Sailing (formerly ISAF) Approved Offshore Personal Survival Course certificate.

Courses will resume in December, 2021. The schedule is listed below.

  • December 4 & 5
  • January 15 &16
  • February 12 &13
  • March 19 & 20
  • April 9 &10
  • May 7 & 8

We will contact the approximately 160 students whose courses were cancelled in 2020 to reschedule them. We expect this process to complete not later than the end of August. We plan to open general registration in mid-September. Thank you for your patience with this process.

Our goal is, together with other host organizations, to make sufficient Safety at Sea courses available to satisfy the needs of the 2022 Newport Bermuda Race.

We will be working with our venue, Roger Williams University, and our fleet surgeons to determine what procedures are required to safely conduct these courses. The health and safety of our students and instructors are our top priority.
